That's because you haven't been missing for however many days. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. But he's not the kind of guy who would stay with you out of obligation if he didn't really want to.

Of course... I'm really happy with him, I wouldn't be datin' him if I wasn't. I don't just go around datin' people for the hell of it.

It just...feels bad. That he thinks I'm just gonna toss him away. And I know that's a him thing, not a me thing, but...it feels like I should be able to fix that. It feels like I'm failin' as a boyfriend. Like, he deserves to be happy. And maybe someone else could do better at it.

If I don't make him happy too, then what's in it for him? I don't want him to settle for a consolation prize.
